Wax Sealed Graduation Announcements

Dawn, Dusk, Graduation by Pixabay Ladies and gentlemen, it is that time of year! College graduation is just around the corner. December graduates are stuffing and mailing announcements as we speak, and I happen to be one of them. I graduate on December 9th and I just mailed my announcements last month. For my high school graduation, I just did the standard official graduation announcements from the school with added name cards and photos. I did buy pretty stamps for them, but overall they were pretty boring. This time around I did things differently. I spared no expense and no time. The tutorial below shows how to print on your announcement envelopes and return envelopes, properly stuff announcement envelopes, how to wax seal envelopes, and how to mail wax sealed envelopes. I hope you enjoy the tutorial and have fun making you own announcements one day: Supplies 5x7 Graduation Announcements A7 foil lined envelopes A1 foil lined envelopes Wax Seal Stamp Wax Seal Ki

DIY Cat Toy

So, if you are like me, your fur babies love toys! My two cats love their toys, especially the ones with ribbon. A month ago, I noticed that they seemed bored with their normal toys. Like any good fur baby mom, I went into action.  A late night trip to Dollar Tree later, I had all the supplies to make a homemade cat toy. I hope you and your fur babies enjoy this tutorial: Supplies Hot glue gun and glue sticks Ribbon Pom-poms Plastic wand (anytime of stick like object works!) Bingo-stamper cap  Instructions Cut six 8-inch steps of ribbon. Cut one end of all six ribbons into a tapered triangle. Place hot glue in center if bingo-stamper cap. Place tapered ends of ribbon into cap in a star pattern. Compress glue and ribbon with the end of a hot glue stick Let dry for 5 minutes.  Cut ends of three ribbons into small frayed strips. Cut three pom-poms to create a slit in the middle. Glue pom-poms the ends of the three remaining ribbons by placing glu

Crafty Cat Feeder

Cat Food by Pixabay As you know, I am a fur baby mom. My fur babies include both dogs and cats and I love making DIY projects for all of them. My older cat is named Skyler James and he is 4-years old. That being said, he acts like an old man. He is so lazy he tries to lay down while eating. To combat this laziness, I have come up with a DIY cat feeder. This feeder can be used to feed meals or just snacks. It is guaranteed to get you kitty moving and having fun. Here is the tutorial on how make this crafty cat feeder: Supplies Toilet paper roll Hot glue gun and sticks Box knife or Exacto knife Pompoms (optional, just for fun and decoration) Cat food or treats Instructions Take the ends of the toilet paper roll and fold them in. Hot glue the end flaps down securely. Mark holes on the toilet paper roll slightly bigger than the cat food/treat kernel size. Evenly disperse approximately 10 holes throughout the roll. Make sure the kernels with fit in the ho

Makeup Brush Cleaning Made Easy

Makeup Brushes by Pixabay Has anyone seen those new gadgets that are supposed to magically clean and dry your makeup brushes? While they do look amazing (here, take a look) , the price is definitely not amazing. As a person who wears makeup, I will admit my brushes are almost always in need of a cleaning. But really, who has time to clean them? It take forever to wash and rub out all of that built up product by hand. It seems like you finally got all of the product out, and then you find more. Sometimes it seems like it would be easier to just throw out the lower priced brushes and buy new ones. I will admit, I am guilty of doing this once or twice. After my second set of makeup brushed though, I came up with a better idea. After you read this you will never spend hours cleaning brushes or resort to buying new ones. Southern Style Wontons

Does anyone have that one food that they grew up with that is still a favorite of theirs? Mine is my late grandmother's Southern Style Wontons. I say southern style because they are not the typical wontons that you would get at an Asian restaurant. They are simpler, easier, and little more "anything goes". My grandmother was a cook that never measured anything and threw everything and the kitchen sink into her food. I spent my childhood cooking with her and still think of her every time I make a meal. With no further introduction, here are my grandma's famous Southern Style Wontons: Ingredients Two crowns of broccoli  One small head of cabbage One package of wonton wrappers Soy sauce One stick margarine  or butter Garlic Powder Onion Powder Step One Wash broccoli. Trim excess stem from broccoli crowns and chop into individual miniature crowns. Step Two Place broccoli in water and boil on medium to high heat until tender. This
