DIY Glitter Spray Paint

I am a glitter lover and I have no shame! I absolutely love it and love using it in crafts. However, it is difficult to find large color varieties in glitter spray paint. When you go to most craft stores, or just normal big-box stores, they usually have the standard gold and silver glitter spray paint. If you are lucky, they might have a few more color options. But have you ever had a craft idea in your head and needed neon glitter paint for it? Well, I did and I couldn't find the paint anywhere. So, what does a crafty person do when she can't find the supplies she needs? She makes them herself! Here is my tutorial for DIY Acrylic Spray Paint! Enjoy!

Ingredients

Three miniture spray bottles
Three small bottle different colored acrylic paint
One bottle silver glitter acrylic paint
(not metallic silver paint, there is a big difference!)
Water

Instructions

Place 1 tablespoon neon acrylic paint in spray bottle.
Place 1/2 tablespoon silver glitter acrylic paint in spray bottle.

Place 3 tablespoons water in spray bottle.

Screw spray nozzle on tightly and shake until evenly mixed.

Repeat for each color of neon acrylic paint.

Have fun painting and creating!

DIY Laundry Soap

Have you ever wished you could be in complete control of how your clothes smell and feel after a fresh wash? Well, that is exactly what I was thinking when I started my DIY laundry soap journey a year ago. I have been making homemade laundry soap for just over a year, and I am never going back! Through trial and error, I have come up with a laundry soap recipe that my family and I love. When I run out and have to use store bought detergent for a few days, my family definitely notices (and complains loudly)! Here is my top recipe that I use to make DYI laundry soap: Ingredients Four pounds Borax Four pounds Baking Soda 56 ounces Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda 35.2 ounces Zote Laundry Flake Three pounds Oxi Clean 48 ounces Scent Crystals Sealed storage container Instructions Layer ingredients into storage container and mix thoroughly. Transfer soap into empty scent crystal container for easy use. Usage Instructions Hot Water: For a smal...

Southern Style Wontons

Does anyone have that one food that they grew up with that is still a favorite of theirs? Mine is my late grandmother's Southern Style Wontons. I say southern style because they are not the typical wontons that you would get at an Asian restaurant. They are simpler, easier, and little more "anything goes". My grandmother was a cook that never measured anything and threw everything and the kitchen sink into her food. I spent my childhood cooking with her and still think of her every time I make a meal. With no further introduction, here are my grandma's famous Southern Style Wontons: Ingredients Two crowns of broccoli  One small head of cabbage One package of wonton wrappers Soy sauce One stick margarine  or butter Garlic Powder Onion Powder Step One Wash broccoli. Trim excess stem from broccoli crowns and chop into individual miniature crowns. Step Two Place broccoli in water and boil on medium to high heat until te...

Crafty Cat Feeder

Cat Food by Pixabay As you know, I am a fur baby mom. My fur babies include both dogs and cats and I love making DIY projects for all of them. My older cat is named Skyler James and he is 4-years old. That being said, he acts like an old man. He is so lazy he tries to lay down while eating. To combat this laziness, I have come up with a DIY cat feeder. This feeder can be used to feed meals or just snacks. It is guaranteed to get you kitty moving and having fun. Here is the tutorial on how make this crafty cat feeder: Supplies Toilet paper roll Hot glue gun and sticks Box knife or Exacto knife Pompoms (optional, just for fun and decoration) Cat food or treats Instructions Take the ends of the toilet paper roll and fold them in. Hot glue the end flaps down securely. Mark holes on the toilet paper roll slightly bigger than the cat food/treat kernel size. Evenly disperse approximately 10 holes throughout the roll. Make sure the kernels with...
